Blog #8 In-Text Citations

MLA In-Text Citations, more commonly known as parenthetical citations, are a crucial part of citing sources in a document. When you first began citing sources years and years ago, it was simply enough to copy and paste the links to all of your sources on the final page of the document. From high school on, however, it has been an even more crucial point to make sure you site every where you use information that is not your own. More specifically, in a research paper, there will be a parenthetical citation for every source listed in the bibliography. If you have a source written by John Doe, for example, somewhere in the paper you will see information followed by (Doe). As research gets more and more complex, it will be more common to see more parenthetical references giving credit where it is due. When it doubt, cite it out!
